Question Listing a web directory

There's some site in which links let me download some archives from a directory (inside the site o'course), but when I try to enter to the directory itself, the site redirects me to it's begining.

Now, Is there some tool or application that could let me list the files inside the directory???

Everything is http, there's not any ftp server involved.

Thnx.

If there isn't an index.html file in the directory, some will list the files there but if they have the index.html file, you can't list the contents of the directory thru http and a browser.

Also even if the site has no index.html file, some will have it so it redirects. But as far as I know, no, you can't list the contents of the directory by any means unless you have access to change the website yourself.

All i want to do is fetch all files in that directory.

How can I do that? If that can be done.

It can be done if the server allows it... Usually you can't (especially on big servers/companies), but there is a way...
For example, using konqueror, browse to that website and enter on a page (or image) that is in the directory you want. The click the Up button on your toolbar (the up arrow). It will take you to the directory and list all the files... (again, this will happen only if the server allows it!)
