Linuxptp synchronization accuracy

We use linuxptp - ptp4l, phc2sys and pmc. Have read many articles online. Does anyone know if I could control/know if synchronization between my slave and PTP GM is within a specific tolerance (e.g. +/- N ns)? Ideally, I'd like to specific this to some configuration file or command line, and the output of a command would tell me "no sync" or sync according to the accuracy.
