Linux/Wine/Accounting Software
If accounting software that is Windows only based is used using Wine on Linux and it loads well then can all its functions be assumed to work correctly ? How can this be verified ?The question arises as if some of the features make errors under wine then there will be serious accounting errors. For eg., if this accounting software is for doing taxes then these errors may cause one to pay lesser taxes which can lead to severe problems down the road.

in efforts to support the open source community, codeweavers has released in the past and even currently their source to crossover office. it's is wine based, but perfected moreso with productivity softwares. I suggest that you visit and download the source... probably 20-60 meg download. compile and install the source and use their setup to install your application. i'm sure that this will work much better than the raw wine route... =)
