Opera 7.11 for Linux i386, English (US) version download

He's looking for a free version that uses very little memory.

Dillo and Links use about the least amount of memory I've seen, but unfortunatly, they aren't very feature rich.

You've hit on all the major linux browsers, so I cant think of anything. Why not just pay the $30 if you don't like the ads in Opera? You seem to enjoy Opera a lot.

Also, Konqueror has a bunch of controls for tweaking memory usage. Have you checked them out?

What about firebird?
EDIT: Sorry - you tried that

Take a look at: http://browsers.evolt.org/

There's a good article on lightweight browsers on Freshmeat:

Also, you could search this forum for the keywords: lightweight browser

And, tho I haven't tried it myself, I've heard quite a lot of good things about Skipstone, which is based on Mozilla. Here's a link:

Enjoy!

He wants light memory usage, and all the Mozilla based browsers (skipstone, galeon) use a lot of memory.

Have you tried ATLANTIS? It uses gtkhtml, and is pretty light. Its in its infancy though.
