Linux version of Bryce 4 or 5?


Well i have this 3d modeling class in school, we use Bryce 4. i wanted to know if there was a linux version or alternative for this program? please help me i am desperate to figure out what it could be.

Maya is one of the best, if not on top, for 3D in Linux...but it's very costly.
Blender is a free alternative, and probably the best free, open source 3D application available on any platform. Neither one is on the same level as Bryce, though....Bryce was designed to be very easy to use, and is extremely limited compared to the others. To be honest, I find it odd that Bryce would be used in a modeling class, as it's not very useful as a modeller. For a simple, easy-to-use modeller, I'd recommend Wings3D, another open source project.
