Linux Ubuntu/Mint System Image

I have been using Ubuntu on my desktop, and Mint on my laptop for about 2 years. I was using Windows 7 before. I would like to have a user friendly way to create a system image on my Linux machines. I am surprised that Ubuntu, and Mint do not include a program to do this, in the installed software. I am very happy with my Linux systems, but this is one area where Windows 7, which includes a system image program excels. Is it possible that in future new Ubuntu/Mint releases, this will be addressed?

Very few distros have this capability but it can be added through a program called Systemback. I like the old remastersys better but it's no longer being developed.

Here's an article describing it. Linux Lite has included it by default in their latest release...
