linux to linux remote x session

I have a RH8 system that I can easily remotly log into with cygwin + windows by typing "x -broadcast" in cygwin...

Could someone with experence inform as how I might log into my RH8 box from my RH9 machine?

Well it all depends on what you wanna do. I see by the thread title you are looking for a remote X session, so I guess my first instict is to point you towards ssh with X11 forwarding enabled.
$man ssh

EDIT: oh and I had wanted to add that ssh/X11 is SLOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW. when you are in the gui.
