Does system performance lag in Lunix? I have a 933 intel pentium III and it does very well in windows, but in lunix it seems to bog down some. I am almost off the desk using the mouse to get from one side to the other. The colors and sharpness are good. Just seems like some things take longer to load compared to windows. Any reason for that?

Linux should definitely run atleast as fast as windows. Perceived speed will have a lot to do with what window manager you are using. If you have an Ultra ATA disk do a search on this forum on how to speed it up. You will find some very good tips.
