Linux Speech Recognition

Hi all. One of my friends seems to have been won over to the idea of me installing Linux onto his pc but he relies heavily on Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition which unfortunately isn't available for Linux. Can anyone recommend a good equivalent?

alternativeto.net is a good place to look for that kind of thing.

This page has two Linux alternatives to the Dragon software: http://alternativeto.net/software/nu...rallyspeaking/

It seems that Dragon works with Wine: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...ation&iId=2077 to varying degrees.

Thanks for trying. Those supposed alternatives were all text to speech though. The Dragon software is speech to text. I've not been able to find anything native to Linux that will do this though.

I use Dragon some in an XP vm on Ubuntu with quite a bit of success. I haven't upgraded to a version of Dragon which is supported by Windows 7 yet but my Win7 Ultimate vm on Ubuntu has some fairly good native speech to text recognition.
