linux software couterparts


for windows i use anydvd for css decryptions and clone dvd for compressing and burning to a 4.7 gig disk


what are the linux counterparts for these programs??

There are a number of fully-functional DVD ripping programs that will do both things you described. One good one I've used is DVD::Rip which uses transcode for much of its backend.

transcode is that were you can compress the dvd to fit on a smaller dvd-r

sorry i am new to the dvd burning world
is that program cli or does it have a gui?
