Linux software changes since 2001?
Hi everybody! (hi, doctor nick!)
I am taking a class on Linux+ (CompTIA certification) and my program's book is from 2001. I know that a lot is still relevent, but I know that Linux moves at the speed of... IEEE1394b, I dunno.
Anyhoo, what has changed since 2001 in the way of iptables, or traceroute, or userdel, or, well, anything in the way of common terminal commands?
I am not looking for a breakdown of individual options/switches available, but I would imagine a lot of progs have come and gone, as well as major/minor FS layouts, config locations, etc... Does anyone know of any off hand?
XOrg is obviously one...
Thnaks a lot for your responses.
