Question Linux program like Acid Pro?

Does anyone know of a program or a group of programs that would perform all the functions of Acid pro, and more? I would like to be able to connect my synthesizer to my computer and use that in the recording process, as well as write my score, create electronic music, edit music, and create my own synthesized sounds as well, so that i can record/create and burn my music to cd.

Check out the Linux-Sound website - check out the whole website, I just found something I never saw before - Gungirl. There is a shortage of really good audio applications for Linux - most are at the tracker level (think Acid without the GUI ) - but some are quite impressive, like Ardour.

heh...I had just begun compiling Ardour as I was reading this. It looks to be at least as groovy as Acid.
