Linux problem when installing sybase.

Hi all,
I am trying to install sybase 12.5.4 32 bit on Redhat AS 4.0 Update 6 on
2.6.9-67.0.15.ELsmp #1 SMP Tue Apr 22 13:58:43 EDT 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The installation goes through till the point where i need to configure the dataserver.
this is the error msg i received
Server 'SINDACS' was not created.
/software/sybase/ASE-12_5/bin/dataserver: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The file do exist.

Anyone can guide me on this?
