my problem with the edonkey network is not that i can not
download a list of files at a combined fast speed, but that i
can not download one file at a fast speed; i often do not
need a list of files. thank you for explaining what you meant
by files flying along ludwig, though i'm afraid it does not help
Yeah,well that's the drawback of the Donkey network.If you just want one file,it will take a while.If it's music singles or some popular software,you might be better using another network,but for movies and music albums,the donkey network is fgreat cos there are hardly any fakes.Each file has a unique hash nuber,unlike gnutella etc. I can't tell you the number of bad rips and fakes I got from kazaa etc .If you don't mind waiting and your computer is on all the time,just leave emule running and you'll eventually get what you want.If you want something NOW,then maybe another network is better.

lmule blows. at least in the form it took after install. everytiome it starts up it gives me like 2 or 3 error boxes full of jibber jabber and it still works (well if you call it working) afterwards.
is there a site (or better yet a script) i can use that will locate the best servers for my area ad crop out all the bad ones?
