Linux music kiosks
So, here is my question...
I have a bunch of older computers.. (333Mhz PIIs, and lower) What I want is a program that I can run on a kiosk sort of platform. A slimmed down Linux install, with a fullscreen GUI to a music playing program. Basically, I'm going to have this running in my bar in my house, and I want my friends to be able to easily queue up songs to hear as we are playing pool. I'll get a touchscreen monitor, so its gotta feel like a kiosk. It needs to play MP3s over the in-house network, and it needs to play/rip CDs as well. My dream is to have an easy to use interface to eMule, or something similar. It needs to download cover art for the CDs the MP3s are from. And it should run on a bare-bones computer.
I've looked at MythTV and Freevo, along with many others, but none of them seem to meet all of these requirements. MythTV and Freevo have a bunch of stuff I don't need. Additionally, it would be helpful if they were in RPM format. The program also needs to be quick, and able to queue up more music without stopping the current music playing. Any ideas?
