Linux Media Player
This question has been asked 100's of times and indeed I think I have even asked this question here but...
I'm looking for the best (if possible) media player for Linux, I have tried a few different ones, some were usable, some were not, but none of what I tried were on a par with Windows Media Player. I'm basically looking for a player that can cope with most video formats. If you guys/gals could post your preferances here, then I'd be very greatfull. |
the best one IS http://mplayerhq.hu no questions asked... Xine is ok, but nothing on mplayer... everything else isn't really worth bothering with.

i agree, Mplayer rocks :)

Yeah. mplayer blows everything out of the water - including all Windows media players.

yup.

I've had great success with both Xine and Mplayer.
WMP is making me tear my hair out with all the trouble it's giving me over audio codecs. |
