Linux mdadm and RAID5

I have 5 drives in sequence using the RAID5 configuration.

These drives were pulled from a LaCie external enclosure with RAID controller. However the LaCie raid controller went down.

So I'm using Ubuntu and mdadm software raid. I know the sequence these drives are in but I'm not exactly too sure as to how or what I will need to configure mdadm to work properly with these drives. I'm not familiar with the mdadm syntax or methodology.

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you do not think you can restore the original RAID-5 volume with mdraid - it is impossible.
