Angry Linux Mandrake 10.0 Community Stuffing Up Windows SE

Heya all, my name is Joel and I'm 14 years old.
I've got Windows SE installed on a computer and want to install Mandrake Linux 10.0 Community on it aswell.
I've done a test on a spare hard disk (phew!) and when I attempt to start Windows SE from LiLo, it says that it is an invalid system disk.
Very annoying indeedy!
If anyone can help me on this matter, please, pleeeeeeease, I'm begging you, email me at lschier@netc.net.au.
Thankyou.

First of all, boot into linux and type "df -k" to see what partitions have been mounted. If manrake installed detected the windows partitions and you opted to leave those windows one intact you should see something like:

$ df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part4
12054984 1895060 9547564 17% /
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part5
102454 9970 87194 11% /boot
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
15399688 7710308 7689380 51% /mnt/win_c
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2
10289156 7203144 3086012 71% /mnt/win_d

if you see a win_c or win_d, or something similar, change to those directories and see if your windows files are still there. if they are still there, please post a copy of your /etc/lilo.conf for us to see
