if you have something like partition magic (real easy program to use for windows) you can tell partition magic to just delete the linux partition and resize the windows partition over the newly created free space. then you'll have to fix your mbr which is done differently depending on which version of windows you use. what version of windows are you using?

Thanks for everything.

Can fdisk be used for this purpose? Using fdisk I succeeded once and failed once. I don't know the reason....can anyone tell??

well for win9x-ME systems, if you made a windows boot floppy, fdisk is used to fix the mbr. the command to run while booting from a floppy is:

fdisk /mbr
