yes x86 is for 32 bit amd or intel.

yes, you can "host stuff" on a Linux OS.

Whats an advantage for one person may not be an advantage to another.
The best Linux distro, again is down to personal opinions.
Frankly, if you have to ask someone for a link to Fedora or CentOS rather than do a quick search using your favourite search engine then your going to struggle to be productive with Linux. Go, research Linux for a bit, download a few distros and try them out and then go from there.

You are spending a lot of energy thrashing around with random questions. Pick any distribution at random, install it and use it for a while---then you will be asking much better questions.
I infer that you are not in a position to download and make an install CD...If so, the two easiest ways are to:
1. Order a CD from Ubuntu--they even pay the shipping
2. Get a CD packaged with a magazine like Linux Format
Tell us where you are, and there might be more ideas
More generally, there are companies the sell (cheap) all manner of CDs and DVDs for various distros. Google: "Linux CD"

okkk i already had intalled redhat.... which i downloaded but crashed and wouldnt reinstall...i couldnt find any place that had some of the good linux os but i went there i downloaded the suse and it was the 64-bit instead of the 32bit i am readownloading and puting it on a disk (yes im puttingit on a disk im not stupid, i know how to burn images) i have 2 comps and one im not using (amd 1400 ,512md ,radeaon 9200.....so i wnated to try a new O.s maybe even get to host a Website (which i see linux is popular for)

ok/...i intalled suse...then when i booted it up it was all glitchy i couldnt see mouse {it was invisible) but it was there and the resolution was messed up ...so i intalled it again and i skiped hardware config and i was gonna do that later this time it worked but its hard....i need to get my vid card driver intalled but im suppoce to turn the x server off before this how is this possible?

i would like to intall the video card and the net adapter any body know how?
ps. i looked at madwifi and didnt quite get it....i didnt see adwonload for it or how to intall my card ...thx in advance..

yes, get the x86...when in doubt ALWAYS download the x86-architecture builds
