Linux Email Servers
hi, i'm new to linux. where can i find email server installation for linux? i tried some of them but no luck. i have suse linux 10 (oss version) and what i wanted is to have it installed that is capable of sending copies of all incoming and outgoing emails to specific addresses (e.g. all incoming will be forwarded to incoming@email.com and all outgoing will be forwarded to outgoing@email.com) kindly help me sir and pls. give me your suggestions! thanks!

My favorite email server is Postfix. Maybe it will do what you want? I didn't really understand your requirements, so I'm not sure.

Suse has sendmail, postfix and exim. You can install any of these using YAST.

thanks guys for your reply! yeah i got it now in suse, but will there be conflicts or something? cause in yast i do have procmail, and postfix currently installed do i need to select imap as well (it says this package contains imap4, pop2 and pop3 mail servers. after installation you have to activate the servers in the file /etc/inetd.conf) and how do i add my users? im still searching for installation guides ... (",) thanks so much sirs!

If you want the best e-mail server, with out the bugs and hassles, i recomend qmail. Here is a great C&P site:

Sendmail, Exim and Postfix are really Mail Transport Agents so they can play along nicely with other mail tools such as imap and pop3.

how do i add users of my email server? and i cant find /etc/inetd.conf to activate the installed pop, imap, postfix. pls. help, why is that?! thanks!
