This has been moved as I tried to explain to you before that there are more forums other than just the Linux - General forum. Try to place your threads in the appropiate forums please.
Nothing really "accelerates" a download AFAIK. Once your connection is maxed out, it's maxed out. The only thing most of those programs do is either cut the file up into smaller pieces, and/or downloading each piece from different mirrors. At best, all they do is use your connection to the best of it's ability.
He wants some prog that searches for alternative downloadsources if you d/l from a source with a slow connection or does simultaneous d/l's from one source.
You can do simultaneous d/l's from one source with d4x.There is also prozilla.It does search for alternative d/l sources and does d/l from multiple sources but it is right now a command line only tool and the database seems to be somewhat limited.
