Linux Checking


Hai

I have One Doubt. I am using centos4. that server act as mail server.

so When I login That server then automatically check list of service related to mailserver , Example Memstatus , Memory free like this information how to come automatically , other wise tel me some scripts and how to do this , Pls help me

Depends how you login.

If you login from console then you can just run whatever commands you want to run by putting them at the end of ~/.bashrc
Popular commands are: free, uptime, df, and a lot more.

Checkout conky: http://conky.sourceforge.net/ if you want to display stuff on desktop.
