Linux based Cluster for Samba

I hope I’m posted this in the right forum.

Just need some quick advice, I'm looking to create an OpenMosix cluster using mandrake Linux, for a samba PDC for win2000/winxp/mandrake Linux clients.

Can samba be clustered efficiently?
would OpenMosix be my best bet?

Is there any good how-to’s out there? Any help will be greatly welcomed.

Hi!

I am not sure, if that's completely right... but...

Samba can be started in different processes, or not?

If it can bestarted in more that one process, Mosix should balance load on several machnies itself, as soon, as there is a need to do so.

Mosix does all that itself... but it does not parallize (#%!§$) programms... just swaps them to another machine if it thinks it would be efficient...

Greetings, Sascha

I would say: Try it out and see what it does and if it works (I would have to do the same to know)
With PlumpOS, setting up a MOSIX cluster is really easy.

Cheers
