Linux Anti Virus


Any recommendations for good Anti Virus software (that is open-source ...ie FREE) ?

I am running FC1 with the stock kernel..

It's not opesource but the Linux version is free
for personal use.

what is the need for anti virus in a linux environment?

just dont run things as root and you should be fine...

You prolly only need Antivirus if you are serving Win32 machines (mail, samba, etc) . I suggest going to http://www.google.com/linux and typing in antivirus many things come up.

having just spent a few weeks wiping viruses(i?) of my webserver i can assure you there is every need!!
