Question Linux and mobile/cell phones

Been looking into replacing my phone. The current ones crap, but it seems that the best option is either this or this

I just so happens that both devices have windows CE installed, but would there be any way of getting a linux distro installed? obviously with some sort of graphic interface, so as not to loose any functionality of the device?

Or has anyone heard of one of these "convergance" devices being available with linux (sure I've heard of the Zaurus, but that's just a pda, I'm really looking for a pda with phone functionality).

Any ideas/suggestions please ?

regards

John

Some of the linux based kit looks really smart!

I don't follow, as to why it seems so hard to track it down in the UK?

Weird!

I'd go for the "plain stupid" route.

I mean, if these devices are available, then why they don't just make them "order only", then they don't have to worry about stock levels etc etc.

Annoying!
