hello all. i am one app away from getting my dad to switch from xp to linux.

at work, he uses outlook on his computer to retrieve appointment times from a ms exchange server. i was wondering if it's possible for him to get appointment times that were setup with outlook on a secretary's computer --> ms exchange server --> his computer running linux --> hot sync to his pda (palm pilot t3).

lol, not likely....

but if there's no linux app that can communicate with ms exchange, has anyone had success running outlook on linux with wine? and if so, has anyone set this up successfully to work with ms exchange server?

My first thought was Ximian Evolution, but then I remembered that they
merged with Novell now. you could still have a look, however:

They promise direct integration with Exchange.
