Linux 3.0 video resolution

RHL 3.0 is installed on my computer. I have a bios of A04 and my video card is an Intel 865. My driver is an 810I. The best resolution i can get is an 640x480. I have my memory set to 16KB. I don't know what to do to try and correct this. I have installed different bios and tried different drivers. Anyone know?

If you seriously mean red hat 3.0 then forget it. Throw it in the bin. It's from the dark ages and akin to trying to install windows 2.0...

Tho I doubt you mean RH 3.0 as even I don't still have a copy of that

Tho I think I have a copy of RH2 for some strange reason... :P

Well I guess (by looking at your BIOS code) that you have a Dell Computer.

And I think you mean that you have set your video memory to 16 MegaBytes (not kb). . .

Also, you should not be running Red Hat 3 on such a box.

I had a problem with a dell box that sounds the same. . . I emailed Dell and they sent me a beta BIOS. .. (SPE I think was the code)

The bios update worked.
