Linux-2.6.0-test /dev/pts
Well, I thought it was all worked out. I installed a shiny, new kernel 2.6.0-test5, and after installing a new glibc-2.3 and patching my nvidia drivers and getting them functional, I start up KDE to get a message about Konsole not being able to find a suitable terminal device. It looks like this is a function of there being no /dev/pts/x. I compiled the kernel with /dev/pts enabled, UNIX98 ptys enabled, and devfs enabled, and everything else works, except for the terminal devices under X. I also tried without /dev/pts enabled, and this did not work either. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance. Will |
You might try mounting the devfs in /etc/fstab.
