Linksys AE2500 Adapter Does Not Detect Wirelss Network

I've just installed a driver for the AE2500 using ndiswrapper and was able to set up the wireless network configuration for WPA-WPA2 security mode. My Linux distribution is Ubuntu 12.04.

The driver is bcmwlhigh5 and the device's MAC is c0:c1:c0:6a:d2:d7
ndiswrapper -l reports the following status:

bcmwlhigh5: driver installed
device (13B1:003A) present

I am puzzled by the driver's failure to detect the wireless network, which normally works with several other wireless adapters. But then sudo lshw does not report this device either.

Any help or advice will be much appreciated.

Hi, Everyone,

I finally got my AE2500 working after entering modprobe ndiswrapper and adding 'ndswrapper' to the end of the /etc/modules file. The purpose of adding this line is to tell the kernel to auto-load ndiswrapper at boot itme. Thus far my wireless netwrok has been working fine.

I hope someone will find this post helpful
