Link USB pendrive to virtual memory in Trinity Rescue Kit

I'm using Trinity Rescue Kit on my friend's XP Pro box that is infected with a bunch of viruses. He only has 256 MB of RAM and the RAM gets filled up quick when I update Trinity Rescue Kit over the internet. My USB pendrive is 1 GB and I want to link that to the virtual disk that gets created in the memory and shows up as /. How do I do this?

Maybe find out where the updates go to (configs, variables like $TMP, $TEMP ?), then "mount -o bind" your stick over it.
