link or HOWTO to migrate AD to 389 Directory server?

Looking for a guide, howto, sort of thing to migrate Active Directory to the 389-directory server. Not looking to "Synchronize" parts of it,.. looking to "MIGRATE" the whole thing.

Anyone out there help?

We have a hybrid DS environment- with both AD and 389-Directory Server. We are using CentOS as the server for DS. Based on my experience, don't expect the ease of use that AD provides. Even simple things like password policies and setting a networked home directory is not as simple as using AD. Then there are questions about group policies, remote control, sharing -each of which is a very simple feat in an AD environment. Configuring a DS is a challenge. Please read through the documentation, and then decide on the upgrade path. This link will probably help you but I suggest that you should read this before deciding on migrating. Documentation for CentOS DS is here.

Did you ever even try 389-DS?
It has a gui which in my experience is just as easy as AD.
AD is a slow piece of junk that is not LDAP complient and 389 can easily replace it.
Been there, done that.
Password policies can be defined in the gui, or with ldap commands.

This thread was 3 years old. Its sort of considered bad forum manners to resurrect necro threads, especially when not adding anything pertinent to the convo.
