Lineakconfig problem with gtk-config

why i try to install lineakconfig it gives me this error

checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** The gtk-config script installed by GTK could not be found
*** If GTK was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GTK_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to gtk-config.
configure: error: Cannot find GTK: Is gtk-config in path?
[root@localhost lineakconfig-0.3.2]#

what do u i need to correct this error

either specify where gtk >=1.2 is when you run ./configure or install gtk >= 1.2
so ./configure --help to see what the arguement is..
oh and don't run as root...
./configure
make
as normal user
and
make install
as root.

i managed to use klineakconfig and didn't use lineakconfig and it is working fine now
thanx anyway
