line problem in vim

For example, I have a paragraph which is 2000 characters long, but each line contains only 80 characters. Although line swapping is done in the display, it's a really tough task to move my cursor to the middle of the paragraph.

How to tackle this problem in vim?

Jump directly into the line with ESC:linenumber or move up and down lines with 20k oder 30j - for example. M jumps to the middle line of what is shown on the screen; H and L jump n lines from top/bottom of the screen up/down.

Previous jump points can be toggled with ctrl-i and ctrl-o.
