LimeWire Virtual Binding Problem.

Hello,

My name is Marc and i'm new to this forum and to lynx. I'm trying - probably like many other - to escape from the corporate world of minster Gates.

I'm still in a trail and error phase; but i'm learning. I've got the following problem:

I installed LimeWire (not in the root). I choose a PATH running trough java:
PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/jre1.3.1_08/bin sh ./LimeWireLinux.bin

it installed: but there was a message while installing:

Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>Escape,_Key_Cancel" to type VirtualBinding
Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>Home,_Key_Begin" to type VirtualBinding
Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>F1,_Key_Help" to type VirtualBinding
Warning: Cannot convert string "Shift<Key>F10,_Key_Menu" to type VirtualBinding
Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>F10,Shift_Key_Menu" to type VirtualBinding
Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>KP_Enter,_Key_Execute" to type VirtualBinding
Warning: Cannot convert string "Alt<Key>Return,Alt_Key_KP_Enter" to type VirtualBinding

OK, i can run LimeWire, but can't shut it down in X (i.e. the grafical environment)

Can someboby help me.

Thanx
Marc

I got the same problem....did you figure it out yet?

A couple of questions:

1) Did you chmod +x Limewire.bin?

Quote:

PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/jre1.3.1_08/bin sh ./LimeWireLinux.bin
2) Did you type that all on one line? If you did, you need to put && between the PATH statement and the sh statement OR enter it as two seperate commands.

3) Limewire is a dog. You might want to consider acid_kewpie's advice.
