Limewire does not install on ubuntu
I have downloaded the limewire debian package from the linux website, but the installation stopped half way and I tried to reinstall it but says "can not run two install processes" at the same time or something like that.
How do I stop the previous process and why does the installation process stops half way.
I've used the debian package installer because I don't know the terminal, not familiar with commands.
My daughter is getting to many viruses on windows using limewire, thught this will work better.
Thanks

if you are installing in command line just hit ctrl-C. This will stop any command line process.

What I ment was, the installation failed half way using package installer (not command line), was just doing nothing for 15 minutes, so I just exited out by restarting ubuntu, had no other choice. When I tried to reinstall it gave me an error. Now it does not let me install anything, always gave me the same error.

really past due, but added thought
I just started using Linux again today (Ubuntu 8.10). I used to use openSUSE, about 4 years ago, on a computer that was too lacking in capable to even run Windows 98 properly, till I built a new one. I never really learned more than I needed to know to listen to music, Instant Message, surf the net, and watch movies. Which means I'm about as newb as it gets while still being able to figure things out in a pinch.
But anyway, point being, I thought the limewire installer froze on me too. But when I clicked on the "Terminal" tab that was right under the progress bar, there was the typical license agreement page. It was waiting for me to scroll to the bottom (by hitting Enter a few times), and then asked me if I accepted the agreement. I typed "yes", hit Enter again, and it was done installing almost instantly.
I apologize for the year delay in my response, as I just found this post, and it's probably not much use to you now. But I figured I might as well post this anyway. In case anyone else got stuck on it, and my oh so glorious (cussed up a storm when I realized how simple it was) realization can help.
