Arrow Limewire


I recently tried installing limewire and i get this , No java VM could be found from you PATH environment variable ... But i do have Java VM installed .... and what is my PATH environment variable ?

do: echo $PATH

this will show you your available paths.

You will probably just need to enter the path to your local Java bin directory to get this to work.

You need to open a terminal window.
In the menu, go to System Tools and click on Terminal.

Where did you install the Java VM ?
If you don't remember, type: whereis java
Also, post the output of echo $PATH

i had that exact same problem and solved it by doing this:

i edited my .bash_profile
JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/[insert java version here]

export PATH JAVA_HOME

then log out and back in...
that did it for me!

open this file in a text editor:

/home/[USERNAME]/.bash_profile
