What is the output that you got? It should be a matter of unzipping the file and running the runLime.sh script.

The script you need to run is runLime.sh as I indicated about. So try something like
Code:
/home/anjum/LimeWire/runLime.sh
Also try not to use your root account for day to day tasks such as p2p etc. It should be strictly for administering your system because running as root leaves you vulnerable to external attacks and you can make mistakes that affect the whole system.

Maybe you're using the wrong version of Java?
(LimeWire is tested against and works best with with Sun's JRE, Java 1.5+)
The version of Java in your PATH is:
java version "1.6.0"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b09)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0-b09, mixed mode)

i have java installed but i guess not configured.
