lilypond help

I just want to print some simple fiddle tunes in the key of A but all the help uses "relative C". Could some one post a tune in the key of A using \score etc. so I could use it as a template. Lilypond desperately needs a better help site with more examples/templates. Thanks!
I just found http://lsr.dsi.unimi.it/ which should get me going.
Here is my input:%% First attempt at notating
\version "2.10.20
%% The header block defines the titles and text.
\header {
title = "Cattle in the Corn"
instrument = "violin"
composer = "Joe Greene version"
date = "October 2007"}

}
\score {
\relative c'' {
\clef treble
\key a \major
\time 2/2

e4. fis8 e cis a b

}
}

This set up works and got me the first 8 bars. Now I need to make a double measure line and start the last 8 bars in a different key (am).
In the music I'm copying from it shows 3 naturals replacing the 3 sharps to right of double measure bars and then the tune is written on the next line in c. If I figure it out I will post. Anybody?

It's not exactly what what you want, but if you would consider using a GUI, then rosegarden can export it's score to lilypond format.

Thanks-I started a thread for Denemo which looks good to me. But where's the RPM?
