Lilo question

Remeber back in the day when lilo used to just come up with

Lilo boot:

or soemthing like that with no nice menu or anything? Well, is it possible to make lilo look like that again? I just think its nerdy and I want it to look like that. Or is it possible to get grub to look like that?

well i never did it in a while, since i use grub now, but you can do it by editing the lilo.conf file i think..
as root comment out (or delete) the line which reads message=/boot/message in the lilo.conf file. Once you have done this rerun lilo to make changes take effect by typing /sbin/lilo -v. The next time you boot, you should see the text LILO: prompt

You can re-enable the graphical boot screen by adding the above line back into the lilo.conf file and rerunning LILO.
