Strange!!
i have not encountered any person moving from grub to lilo
grub is much much better than lilo in every aspect
anyway its an individual decision
abt ur prob, it seems u have a boot partition (of any os for that matter) outside 1024 cyl
if u have a new system, it should not cause any prob
but it is always better to use lba32
if u run lilo , by default it will read /etc/lilo.conf file,
just add one line anywhere before specifying label entry
line should read
lba32
thats it
