Unhappy lilo problem

hi,
i am using lilo-21.4.4-26,to dual boot the windows98 and fc3 from the same h/d,
the lilo is installed to the mbr,the problem is when booting there is just "LILO boot:" prompt, and not the lilo selection window for choosing windows or linux,i need to write linux then enter to boot to fc3 and by defualt wihout any input booting to windows,this is the /etc/lilo.conf:
prompt
timeout=120
default=Windows
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
lba32

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.10-1.770_FC3
label=linux
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.6.10-1.770_FC3.img
read-only
append="devfs=mount rhgb quiet root=LABEL=/"

other=/dev/hda1
optional
label=Windows
when i uncomment the prompt in the lilo.conf,then there is nothing to boot to fc3 and just booting to the default Windows,plz help me,how i can get the lilo selection screen for windows and linux?

That's quite an old version of lilo, they're on at least version 22.x.x
I can't see anything that's obviously amiss with your lilo.conf file although I would remove the 'optional' line from Windows...that may make a difference. Remember you need to run lilo (/sbin/lilo) as root after making any changes.

Other than that, you might like to upgrade to a newer version of lilo.
