LiLo checksum error

Hi all !

I installed Mandrake 9.1 on my comp. which already has win xp in it, and then when i boot the box, it gives me the lilo checksum error.

So what i need is for someone to point me to some solution with this problem so that i wouldn't have to format my hdd since it includes also the win part and whole lot of software.

Thank you

If you don't have a way to get your old boot sector back (programs are available for backup and restoration of the boot sector) then you can try to install lilo again, or some other boot loader.
