LILO append parameter altermative in GRUB ?

Hi,

LILO append parameter holds kernel parameters which are appended to every boot entry.
Any similar functionality in GRUB's menu.lst file ?
(I don't want to add parameters to every kernel entry)

On the kernel line you can append to the end. Examples:
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.x86_64 ro root=UUID=d91d7826-9395-4e4b-b978-dec8f7d7cf4b rhgb quiet

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-92.1.10.el5 ro root=/dev/rootvg/root nofb noht crashkernel=128@16M

The file will be /boot/grub/grub.conf or /etc/grub.conf if it is linked there

That is Debian (based) specific - and requires update-grub to be run to be effective even then. Update-grub is also not part of the standard grub packaging.
The answer to the original question is no.
