LILO and GRUB

Hello:

I have installed GRUB on my comp so I could get dual OS with WINDOWS XP and LINUX RedHat.

I want to format the linux partition and some other stuff, like having more space for linux and less for windows, but I need to uninstall grub for that......... how can I do that?

thanks

Hope that helps!

thanks a lot
but... are you sure that by fdisk MBR I will not erase anything important or that I will have to reformat it all and therefore losing everything?

Are you using 1 hard drive, split between XP & Linux? If you want to give more room for linux, then if you are not using a tool like Partition Magic, you will have to delete everything, re-create the partitions, then re-install Windows and Linux.

what I want to do is as follows (I don't know the order tough)

*Erase Linux Red Hat completely
*Erase GRUB
*Recover the space from linux and give it to win
*Install Linux Mandrake

the weird thing here is that I need this computer to be "linux-free" and "Grub free" because it's not mine, and this guy will use it to backup other computer...... that's why I need all the hard disk space. Then, the guy will lend me the comp again and I can install Mandrake (but I originally gave linux like 3 gigas and it's not enough, I want to change it)
I do have Partition Magic but it says I can't modify other than Windows partitions. It offers me to Erase all linux partition and that's what I want to do, but once I don't have linux, how can I uninstall Grub

Ok. Here's the procedure for restoreing the XP boot loader.
