Light music player app recommendation?

Basically, I'm looking for a Winamp clone that is maintained, unlike XMMS. Some way to interface with XChat for a Now Playing script is desired, too (XMMS no longer can now that I have Perl 5.10 on my laptop).

I do not want all the features players like iTunes and AmaroK have, and I especially do not want something as big and bloated. I do want: playlist management like Winamp's and XMMS', shuffle, the ability to play Web radio and CDs and edit id3 tags, and the ability to bind keys to Previous, Play/Pause, Stop, and Next functions.

I would prefer a Gnome/XFCE-native app, but others will be looked at.

So, small, functional, light, and like Winamp. Suggestions?

Audacious is the program you want.

Looks OK, but it's segfaulting when I try to add a file to my playlist. 1.5.1 is in Lenny.. going to look at their site and maybe build from source now.

Edit: Looks like it was crashing on mp3s, and the solution was to install audacious-plugins 1.5.1-1 from unstable.
