libXft.so

Hi all,

I install Fortran Compiler 10.0 for linux (fedora 6). During installation I have problem (as message below):

Checking for existing libXft.so library files ...
Found existing /usr/lib/libXft.so.2
Did not find existing /usr/lib/libXft.so.1

Could you please help me to solve that problem.

@ pielas : Which will provide libXft-2.1.10,
and it is already installed.

( providing libXft.so.2 )

The file 'libXft.so.1' is provided by an older version.
Source code e.g.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/libxft1
> "Links for libxft1" > > [xft1_6.8.2.orig.tar.gz]
1) tar xvf xft1_6.8.2.orig.tar.gz .. 2) cd xft1-6.8.2 ..
3) xmkmf
You will need the package 'imake' from
http://archives.fedoraproject.org/pu...s/Fedora/RPMS/
'imake' provides imake, xmkmf, etc.etc.
4 ) make .. 5) # make install
... which will install libXft.so.1 -> libXft.so.1.2 to /usr/lib/
