Rep: Reputation: 30 and MaxView

Receive this error when trying to install maxview on MDK 10.2. This is a document scanning and handling program ala paperport.

./maxview: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have found in /usr/lib. It is suggested to link to but it did not work. Can't seem to find anything about libtiff4 requirements on the libtiff site.

any help appreciated

I'm not familiar with maxview, but try:

strace ./maxview

and try to see exactly which lib file it's trying to load.
Maybe it's looking for or similar.
Also, check the link:

ls -l /usr/lib/libtiff*

Do you see "/usr/lib/ ->" (or whatever version you have)?
