install openssl (edit)
 
hi

first i want to say i am from austia and i am not that good in english how i should be :rolleyes: (thats why i havenīt use the search funktion). in addition i am a beginner ...

my problem:

i use redhat 9.0! i had downloaded kompete und then i had typed in the terminal :

[root@localhost temp]# rpm -ivh kopete.rpm
Warnung: kopete.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 1e547375
Fehler: Failed dependencies:
libssl.so.2 is needed by kopete-0.6.1a-4akc


what shall i do? plz help me! and sorry for this :newbie: questions .....

i hat found a site where i can download it ... http://rpmseek.com/rpm-pl/openssl.html?hl=de&cx=0:: but whisch version? and do i have to reinstall somethin or can i install trouble-free the file after downloading? see ya maZ

well i would love to give you a flat out answer, but since you haven't mentioned what distro your using, then i can't really tell you :D but if you'd like to figure it out yourself, just look in the second column and find your distro and get that rpm :D

i did download it ... and now? open terminal and type in rpm -i name.rpm ?

i donīt think i am right ^^ look what the message was ...
