New install of Mint 18.2. When I try to add the LibreOffice extension "LanguageTool" I get the error
"Could not create Java implementation loader". Never had this problem before, so I presume I have
previously had some java artifact already installed. LibreOffice 5.1.6.2, LanguageTool-3.7.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Let's get this straight. I am NOT a newbie.
"Install java" you say. There is no package "java".
I have two machines both running Mint 18.2. The older
machine was 18.1 upgraded to 18.2. The new machine was
a fresh install of 18.2.
Both machines have java-common and java-common-libreoffice
installed. Old machine has Language tool installed. New
machine will not install it, as reported.
Which of the hundreds of java components is missing?
As far as I can see, both machines have the same java
components installed.
I went as far as step (5). Then tried to install the extension - which succeeded.
Of course I never had to do any of this to get the extension to install on Mint 17, 17.1, 17.2, 18.1, and 18.2 on my main machine. Only on this new laptop.
Anyway, many thanks the help.
